Fertility assessment at TFP Fertility

What is a fertility assessment?

A fertility assessment is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of your fertility health, which includes conducting various tests and ultrasound scans.

At TFP Fertility, we offer fertility testing for women, men and couples, including LGBTQIA+ couples.

You don't need a referral from your GP to book an assessment with us. It takes just one to two visits to one of our clinics to have the necessary investigations, followed by a consultation with a specialist.

Fertility tests for women

For females, we carry out an internal ultrasound scan, to assess your uterus and check for any abnormalities, as well as a blood test which determines your ovarian reserve (the number of eggs you have left). Together, these tests provide a detailed overview of your fertility health.

Fertility tests for men

The most common cause of infertility in males is due to abnormalities found in the sperm. For men, the main fertility test is the semen analysis. During the semen analysis, we examine how many sperm is in your sample (sperm count), their size and shape, and how well they move.

Get in touch

The first step of your fertility journey is a fertility assessment. Whenever you're ready, we're here.

What happens after a fertility assessment?

We will review your results with you one week after your assessment, during a consultation. If you are a male patient who has only scheduled a semen analysis, our embryologists will call you with the results on the same day.

During your consultation, our fertility team will discuss your results in detail and will address any questions you may have. They will also provide advice and guidance on which treatments may benefit you. However, it’s important to know there’s no obligation to proceed with any treatment.
