How to pay for fertility treatment

We understand that finances are often one of the main considerations when exploring fertility treatment. If you choose to have your care with us, you have multiple funding options for your treatment, including NHS funding referrals and our partnership with Access Fertility.

Your funding options

We understand that fertility treatment can be a big financial commitment. To make our services as accessible as possible, there are several funding routes available for your treatment.

So that you can feel confident of your treatment costs, we follow a price commitment based on best practice set by the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA).

We'll provide a breakdown of the cost of your specific treatment and the options available to you at the point of consultation so you can decide which funding route is best for you.

It's important to note that costs could increase if you require additional medication or further services during your treatment. We'll communicate this with you at every step.

Access Fertility IVF Finance Funding

Spread the cost with Access Fertility

We're proudly partnered with Access Fertility to allow our patients to spread the cost of fertility treatment through their finance packages, including 0% interest over 12 months.

Access Fertility's packages can be used on all or part of your treatment costs and split into monthly repayment installments.

These packages have helped many of our patients save money, fix the cost of their treatment and reduce the financial stress involved with fertility treatment.

NHS IVF Funding

NHS funding

You can start your fertility journey with TFP Fertility by coming through for private fertility testing. However, if you're eligible for NHS funding, you'll need to speak to your NHS GP or consultant for a referral.

The eligibility criteria for NHS-funded fertility treatment depends on where you live, as well as your age, BMI, smoking status and how long you've been trying to conceive.

Bupa

As one of Bupa's trusted fertility partners, if you have invested in Bupa health insurance or receive these benefits through your workplace, you can access our services through the Bupa Fertility Programme. To find out what services you are eligible for, you'll need to contact your Bupa Account Manager or Intermediary Partner.

Before coming through to TFP Fertility, you'll need to contact Bupa for a pre-authorisation code. Once you have this, you can contact our Patient Support team and book yourself in for your fertility assessment and consultation.

Egg sharing

If you're undergoing IVF to try for a family now or to freeze your eggs, our egg sharing scheme allows patients with a healthy ovarian reserve to donate some of their eggs to another patient in need.

It can be a rewarding experience, helping someone else take a step towards growing their family. In return, the cost of your treatment will be offered at a reduced cost.

Not everyone will be eligible for egg sharing as there are several factors to consider, including age, BMI, smoking status and fertility health. Your consultant can discuss your suitability for egg sharing at your consultation.

Armed Forces

If you or your partner or co-parent are employed by the Armed Forces and require fertility treatment, you should speak to your military or local GP.

If you meet the criteria for funding, a request should be submitted to NHS England Armed Forces for funding approval, rather than your Integrated Care Board (ICB).
